After a guided tour, you will plunge into the enchanting beauty of the Hermitage
Many tourists come to St. Petersburg simply to visit the Hermitage, one of the greatest museums in the world, which in 2014 celebrated its 250th anniversary. A visit to all its 350 exhibition halls will entail a walk of more than 10 km, and once it was calculated that it would take more than 9 years to look at each item for an instant. The Hermitage houses amazing examples of Italian art of the High Renaissance, as well as unsurpassed collections of Rembrandt's paintings, an extensive collection of Dutch and Flemish masters - not to mention the fabulous treasures from Siberia and Central Asia, Egyptian and classical antiquities, as well as Persian and Chinese works of art, among many others. In addition, there are interiors of the Winter Palace itself with its magnificent staterooms, where the kings once occupied the courtyard, and the Provisional Government was arrested by the Bolsheviks.
We must assume that in these rooms you just need to believe and stand in the middle of them, trying to absorb their rich and sometimes turbulent history, as we believe, one of unforgettable life experiences.

DAY 3
St. Petersburg. Peterhof, St. Isaac's Cathedral
St. Petersburg Peterhof, St. Isaac's Cathedral A visit to St. Petersburg is very rare to do without a trip to Peterhof.
Most of the third day we will devote to this amazing place.
Being the first of the great imperial palace ensembles created outside of St. Petersburg, Peterhof personifies almost 300-year-old tsarist rule and self-praise.

As the name implies (which means "Peter's Court in German" and pronounced "Peterhof" in Russian), its founder was Peter the Great, and they say that it was difficult for architects to keep up with the stream of ideas emanating from his pen. ,
The scale of this project and its technical achievements, in particular, 150 fountains fed without pumps that take water (only by gravity) from the Ropsh hills at a distance of more than 22 km, through 50 km of pipes, 22 locks and at least 18 lakes, is not underestimate and acts as a rival to the French palace in Versailles.

Peterhof includes several palaces, the most grandiose and magnificent of which is the Grand Palace, built during the reign of Empress Elizabeth, when court life became more luxurious, reaching its peak when Catherine the Great held all night parties, lit by 10,000 candles, in Nizhny Park 102 ha.
After returning to St. Petersburg, we will have an excursion to St. Isaac's Cathedral, where everyone can not only visit the cathedral itself, but also climb to the observation deck, which offers a breathtaking view of the whole city.
