Spaceport Tour
The Baikonur cosmodrome is a unique complex consisting of the most complex technical structures, the first and largest cosmodrome in the world of international importance. It is located on the territory of Kazakhstan, near the village of Tyuratam.
Duration: 5 days

Program cost:

Inclusions: hotel accommodation 4*, meals - breakfast at the hotel, except of the day of arrival, transfers as per the program, guided tours as per the program with an English-speaking guide, entrance tickets to museums and sightseeing sites.

Exclusions: international flights, additional excursions or transfers, accommodation in a single room, extra night stay at hotel.

Program of the tour
Day 1
Astana/Almaty – Kyzyl – Orda – Baikonur spaceport
Upon arrival to Kyzyl-Orda, before driving to Baikonur, we will have a short sightseeing tour.
Places to visit in Kyzyl-Orda: railway station (1905 year), Mosque Aitbai (1878 year), Cathedral of our lady Kazan built in Russia byzanthine style (1896 year).

Transfer to Baikonur (280 km, 3,5 hours). On the way from Kyzyl-Orda to Baikonur, we will make a stop at a large memorial complex dedicated to the composer, philosopher, poet Korkyt-Ata who has also invented "Kobyz" Kazakh instrument in a form of violin. Korkyt-Ata who lived in VIII-IX centuries has completely devoted his life to searches of immortality of human soul. The Korkyt-Ata memorial was built in a place of mausoleum where philosopher Korkyt-Ata was buried and when music is played there, the sound resonates so that it can be heard equally from any part of the memorial. Larger cultural events, musical festivals are hosted there.

Overnight in Baikonur.
DAY 2
Baikonur spaceport
Early breakfast. Tourists will be transported to Baikonur cosmodrome where they will be able to see roll out of space ship from storage. Tourists will drive on a car following the spaceship while it is transported from spaceship storage to start platform from where spaceship will be installed and prepared for launch to aerospace.

Later tourists will drive in site #2 where will enjoy sightseeing of the following objects:
– Baikonur Spaceport Museum with more than 13,000 various displays space shuttles (from the oldest ones to the most recent ones)
– Buran spaceship: tourists will have a guided tour inside the Buran spaceship rocket and see all the equipment inside the spaceship;
– Yurii Gagarin's cottage-museum.

Afternoon transfer to Aral Sea (250 km, 3 hours)
Evening arrival to Aral Sea. Transfer to homestay, accommodation at homestay, dinner. Overnight.


DAY 3
Aral Sea
– Breakfast
– Shopping at the local market;
– Driving to the former fish receiving station;
– Driving to the ship graveyard (stranded fishing vessels in the desert);
– Driving to the Tastubek village (to see daily life of fishermen families) and of course, sea itself on the north-west of Aralsk, 90 km from town.
– Lunch at fishermen house;
Afternoon or evening driving to the seashore (4 km), sailing together with local fishermen (for additional money, to be agreed on spot);

Above mentioned places are located in northwest of Aralsk, and it really gives you impression of manmade disaster. When it's dry we drove on the former seabed to ship graveyard, where you can see salt plains, clifs (former shoreline), wild shrubs growing on salty seabed and of course, seashells which still spread all over. It's possible to organize a lunch, with tasting "shubat", traditional drink of kazakhs made of camel milk in Tastubek village.

Dinner at homestay or shoreline Overnight.

DAY 4–5
Baikonur spaceport, launch/ Kyzylorda- Astana/Almaty transfer
– Breakfast. Transfer to Baikonur (280 km, 3,5 hours)
– Short city tour around Baikonur: city museum, parks, monuments, "Soyuz", a memorial to missile men.
– Watching the crew of astronauts departure to the start and report to the State Commission.
– We will drive to the area where the space shuttle is prepared for launch. From the observation platform that is located in 4km distance from start you will be able to supervise launch of a space shuttle to the International Space Station.
– Attend launch.

Overnight
Drive to Kyzylorda(280 km, 3,5 hours).
Flight to Astana /Almaty.
